This topic area is targeted towards purchasing officers, buyers, departmental managers, business services personnel and personnel within academic and administrative departments that purchase goods and services. General topics include the use of sustainability requirements in contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFP); development of Purchasing Policies; outreach programs designed to influence the purchasing decisions; and use of technology in procurement to reduce our environmental and societal impact. We are very interested in proposals that emphasize strategic sourcing to obtain best pricing, terms and conditions for goods and services while advaning use of environmentally preferable and sustainable products. Also of interest are proposals that show case campaigns and best practices that have increased the purchase of environmentally preferable and sustainable products.
